Replace your condensed soup with this Homemade Cream of Celery Soup Recipe -
1 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 yellow onion
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup half & half

Very good, very easy recipe… tip- I didn’t have any half and half do I used milk…. Loved it anyway ❤

Thank you. I have been doi g mine the same way forever, except for adding the onion.
This recipe works with a variety of veggies. For flavor, it is important to toast the flour in the butter mix.
Also. Of course you can add cooked chicken too.

I love soups! This is one I have not tried before. Do you think it would work just as well with beef broth? I tend to prefer it to chicken broth.

Looks great but there is no way I go through the effort and only make 16oz of soup. Do yourself a favor and quadruple this recipe and freeze it flat in quart zip lock bags for later.
