Running a SUB 60 10K is a huge goal for many runners after progressing in distance from 5K races or parkrun. I learnt about one person trying to break the hour for 10km, and agreed to pace her for a SUB 60 attempt at Southampton 10K. This, is Emma's story.

The training plans and JOG ON running kit are a great way to help support the future production of JOG ON videos. Thank you.

Honestly, I got up this morning, had a coffee and watched this vid. I decided I was gonna try my first 10k in a long long time. After going past mile 4, I started to struggle but I so badly wanted to comment on this vid that I pushed through by thinking comment comment comment! I finally made it, and as I sit here typing this, feeling knackered, just wanna go you and Emma a big thumbs up for taking me out of my jogging comfort zone 👍🏻

I was literally just laid in bed, trying to find something to watch when I saw this video. I had no idea how relatable this would be, this has honestly inspired me to push myself harder.

I paced a friend to a sub 45 10k the other week, and man I gotta say that feeling of helping someone achieve a goal they didnt think they could make is almost as good as running your own PB. So many people are more capable than they believe they are when it comes to achieving times

What I love most about your videos is whenever you see someone in Jog On apparel, you’re intentionally to shout them out by name, it’s a small thing that shows how much you care about your subscribers and supporters. Hoping this Texas boy can get across the Atlantic one day to go for a run with y’all!

Really appreciate seeing people with similar times and targets to me being featured in running content! It makes me feel more like I "belong" and helps lessen the imposter syndrome I feel at events. Well done Emma!!!

The beauty of running - it’s just you against yourself!

I got emotional watching this because i was rooting for her so hard, that mental barrier manifests physically when you're so close. hoping to break that sub 60 for the first time myself this weekend.

Love the race whisper because everyone around is just quietly running - definitely experienced that

The amazing thing about running is that no matter how fast or slow you are there is always someone who is faster or slower than you...At the end of the day it is all about breaking your personal limits and overtaking yourself.

having run the 2023 london marathon, absolutely understand the challenge that even 10km is and to do it in sub 60 mins is such a phenomanal achievemant. you should be incredibly proud of yourself. a champion.

Over the moon for Emma. She overcome her mental demons to push on for that last K.

I never used to believe people who said that running is a mental sport more than a physical one.

Then I started running!

Lovely to see Emma crushing it, and feeling, but mastering (kinda!), the panic. X

Running is so much about the mental game. Started running less than a year ago and I’m still surprised at how much my mental state can change my speed. Some days I just want to push through pain, some days I want to dial it back.

Amazing job Emma on crushing your PB and getting under 60!

Its one the hardest things to achive when setting these targets for your self. That mental pressure you place yourseld under than have such a physical effect. Felt so much the last few years chasing goals in triathlon when it was so much about the time you loose the pasison for it and enjoyment and the reason why you started doing ti in the first place.

This is going to be my goal- I’m currently at about 1:06 for my 10k which I was really happy with getting so I’m going to slowly but surely get to the 1 hour mark… one day!
