ME: Yes you can you need to use a white HTV (heat transfer vinyl) first and then once you print your design on the dtf film from your sublimation printer you then press it over the white vinyl on your shirt

Is the film and powder necessary? Can't you sublimate onto white vinyl with regular sublimation paper?

must be really thick on the shirt having vinyl then dtf film ontop of the vinyl

You can get the black powder and skip the vinyl.
