Retiring in Thailand has been a great. Life here moves at a different rhythm slower, easier, and way more affordable. I can eat well for a couple of bucks, get good healthcare without breaking the bank, and actually enjoy my time instead of watching my savings drain. Not saying it’s all smooth sailing. visa stuff can be a pain, and the heat? Brutal. But stepping away from the nonstop financial stress back home gave me clarity. Seriously, the Govt should be paying you to promote Thailand Chris! This one video alone probably boosted their annual tourist tax revenue by 10-20%. I finally made it and have you to thank! The people of Thailand are amazing!! I'm up late watching you tube because I can barely sleep here. Every day I'm so excited for the next. Slowly learning the language and trying to cram in as much as we can! I really hope to retire here one day I could easily live here 4 life. We are in a beautiful hotel in old town but I will say it doesn't seem suitable for walking much. Everyone is on a scooter and the wild dogs can be kind scary. A few started circling us but luckily we turned around back to the safety of passing traffic hehe. LOVE IT HERE!
