Cloud Drift

This was written at the request of a bassoonist for a solo to feature the lyrical, singing quality of the instrument that is often overlooked in favour of its more comic qualities. The music is slow and tranquil, evoking the memory of a moment out of time spent gazing up at clouds drifting across the sky.
