‘Stop interrupting me’: Ted Cruz lays into acting Secret Service director

Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe fronted US lawmakers on Tuesday during a heated committee hearing over the attempted assassination of former US president Donald Trump.

Republican Senator Ted Cruz grilled Rowe over the security failures at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania and reports of the Secret Service previously rejecting requests for additional security for the former president.

The Republican Senator appeared frustrated with Rowe’s response to some of the questions he was being asked.

“Stop interrupting me,” Mr Cruz said.

“You are refusing to answer clear and direct questions.”
