Couldnt have said it better myself! Especially when a newer driver, practice is the most important thing. Put decent tires on the car, and just drive it for a while.

When I first started racing, I had researched a lot on the internet, and bought a bunch of hop ups and faster motors for the MR-01 that I had. I went to the local track, with my shiny upgraded cars, and could barely complete a lap. I broke 3 bodies, and broke the servo gears 3-4 times in that one session. I may have tried running 3 battery packs, but never completed the run. Spending more time rebuilding the servo gears than on the track driving.

The shop owner told me that my motor was too fast, and that I need to slow down and make no mistakes in order to go fast. He took a stock MR-02, and showed me that practice was much more important than what was on the car. His car looked so smooth and clean through the track.

My next race, I bought a stock MR-02 Enzo in yellow, and installed only a disc damper which was what the shop owner recommended for me to have stability and consistency with the car. I used the car in that way for 4-5 race days with no change. By the time he said I was ready to upgrade, I had a good feeling for the car, and only changed one part per race day. The first option was a t-plate, then next a camber knuckle. Last was the ball differential. I still try to approach setup in a very limited way to reach my desired feeling on the car. One change at a time, and feel what it does.

kind of a click bait title - just add "is practice" in the title.
I came here looking for upgrades suggestions because I'm going shopping in Tokyo, kind of wasted my time a little bit, but not a big deal

good stuff you present here - like it a lot. How do you transfer the track layout to get it printed?
