I raced kyosho mini z for few years. These cars are strong. Never broke any parts. Its expensive but its worth it. Its the same as a 1/5 scale or 1/10 scale touring car but smaller. Fun to race in the winter

A couple of minutes in and I started laughing uncontrollably about the usage of the hand on the stick. Love it.

A reasonably cheap upgrade to the WLToys may well be swapping out the kit electronics for a HW 1625 esc and your favourite receiver/controller.

1:34 - I like the cameo from Knuckles the Echidna helping you point out the cars, tho just his hand.

Be interesting to see if you could get hold of an xmod and compare that to them too.

The gloved hand pointer is awesome! The fickle finger of fate pointer NEEDS to be a channel staple.

Great vid and nice use of the track. My K969 currently out of action as the spur gear chewed up the lipo lead but whilst I like it find it understeers a lot and perhaps would have done better with the 989. Might try open diff front to see if that helps

I have the WLToys K989 Truck but I'd rather have a Mini Z. Currently my K989 burns up after being ran for just a few minutes and I haven't had the time to take it apart and see what's binding. So it just sits and collects dust. With a Mini Z I know it would work as intended right out of the box.

The truck proves it. Drifting is a style competition not racing. Sliding around looks cool but is much slower. Probably also why the mini z is slower also. So if sliding is the goal get the mini.

As a mini z racer u have the same awd mini z. I would recommend to use the rechargeable tripple AAA battery vs. Disposable tripple AAA.

Tracks looking good! Sweet onbody camera cuts and that finger pointer 😂! Have you treated your carpet at all? For our portable carpet track we give it a light coat of spray silicone.
