This monitor is actually very colour accurate out of the box. Rtings did a test on the out of box calibration and it scored a 9.6/10

I am doing 2nd run of Elden Ring on this monitor. With Dolby Vision set in Dark mode, this game looks absolue magic. My first Elden Ring run was on MSI QD IPS monitor and difference is huge.

Ive had this monitor for a few months now and it's really incredible.

Games look amazing on it and (so far) no burn in. I've paired it with a 4090 set up and it's a dream

I'm gutted I had to return mine, it's an absolute beast! The HDR settings take quite some tinkering, but once that's done, load up Cyberpunk and try to pick your jaw up off the floor

Now that Alienware have ditched the G-SYNC ultimate module in their QD-OLED monitors there's basically no fan noise. It was the fan in the module that was the main culprit and I've never heard the fan in my AW3423DWF over ambient noise.

TL;DR = Make sure you adjust the settings after you get it.

I got mine yesterday, I was so disappointed. It was too dim, and the text looked terrible. This replaced my Aorus 46" OLED. Then while I was testing it on Youtube, I got to Dolby Vision, and realized it was turned off, so I went in (after turning HDR off in Windows - why it has to be in order to change anything I don't know), had HKR1000 on, brightness up to 100, Creator mode, and turned Dolby Vision on - BAM! What a difference!! Holy cow THIS was the monitor I was hoping for.

I have this monitor and love it. Never had the fan turn on ever. I run it in HDR dark mode tho. I can't handle the super brights the dark HDR is ideal for me

As written in the QD-OLED vs WOLED comparison: I returned my Alienware. Cannot disable DSC unlike on ASUS, which makes Nvidia disable DSR for games and video upscaling. Also, the AW doesn’t achieve actually 1000 nits with DV, it clips everything above about 500 to white. You’re stuck with True Black 400. See for yourself with the Windows HDR calibration tool.

Coming from an LG Ultragear in 2020 to this is completely worth it. I get excited to use it every day 😂

The deal breaker for me with this monitor is that it didn't have a 3.5mm audio jack. I like to connect my speakers to my monitor so I can have sound output for both my PC and PS5. Because of this, and the fact that I prefer flat over curved, I did pay the $100 extra price tag on the ASUS PG32UCDM. However, at the current discount of the Alienware right now of $999, If I was in the market now, I would prob get the alienware for $300 less, and just get a cheap ARC soundbar for the PS5 and pocket the rest.

HDR calibration: it’s 980 nits, so just configure it for 980 nits.

I've owned this for 3 months. Best purchase I've ever made. 4k 240hz is amazing. I use HDR Peak 1000 & gaming is so enjoyable. Never can go back!

The one downside for all QD-Oled monitors is they don't have true HDR 1000 only at 10% apl. A full white screen you get less than 200 nits. For SDR content, there's nothing better but not bright enough for HDR.
