Bite-Sized Science: Advanced Technology Demonstrator
Показать описание
With co-funding from the FAA and NOAA, the Advanced Technology Demonstrator (ATD) was installed in July of 2018. The ATD is a new research radar that combines the benefits of a phased array radar with the benefits of a dual polarization technology. If National Severe Storms Laboratory researchers can prove the benefits of the ATD, the radar will be positioned to eventually replace the existing NEXRAD radars.
