Original kesar takes time to release color. The color released is yellow with a very slight tinge of orange.
The fake ones or the treated ones release bright color instantly, that’s why it’s used mostly in biryani and sweets commercially.
I have used both. Both have their use.
But for health purpose, it’s worth it to spend on the original kesar as one needs only few strands to make a herbal tea.
