Elektron Digitone Keys Sounds

Elektron has a new version of the Digitone that has a built in keyboard as well as a few other extras including individual stereo outs for all four channels and extra modulation controls. There are 8 knobs above the keyboard that control a preset set of voice controls as well as a set of 8 user programmable controls. The mod wheel and pitch bend as well as aftertouch and velocity from the keyboard can be routed as modulation sources to multiple destinations at once.

The synthesis of the Keys version is the same easy to use but great sounding FM engine from the original Digitone that also features the filters of subtractive synthesis.

People are complaining so much... It's not different compared to the Monomachine and the keyboard version. The only thing they did is cut off the keyboard and the Monomachine was born! The keyboard version looked a bit awkward too, but looks should be the least of your worries when buying a powerful synth like this.
Plus, they added some other functions on this Digitone Keys, 8 assignable control knobs, stereo output per channel (4) and 2 assignable cv inputs. Would be nice to have the output per channel on the regular Digitone too though, but that would mean the price would go up.

I would probably prefer two Digitones to this one Digitone Keys for the same price. Just add an external keyboard and you have 16 voices.

The position of the mod and pitch wheels is proof that no one at Elektron has ever actually PLAYED keys... Facepalm!

i stick to my Roland E-16 home keyboard. can also do beats and keyboard sound. It has 5 octaves too, so you can play chords on the left hand and play melodies on the right hand. It also has an intro and outro button, and a fill button to get variation. Very nice. And only 50 euro's on second hand market.

[Putting aside the awesome demo] I'm a huge Elektron fan and love their designs, but I can't understand the reasoning behind making this. One of the things I love about the Digitone is its size. Why make it into a huge bulky device? I just don't see the point.
