My husband is 5’1 and does just about all these things. When I met him I was so impressed and he had an awesome wingwoman who backed him up so I wasn’t overwhelmed with the Kevin Hart style forwardness. He still impresses me and it’s honestly amazing how he can make friends and acquaintance anywhere he goes.

This video is so valuable, you could replace height with any other variable outside of a person's control and these ideas and tips still hold water. Thanks so much guys!

I like how you incorporated clips that show ´´uncharismatic traits´´ it makes it easier to understand your point!

I’m 5’2” and I have a hobby called motorcycling and it is perfectly fine.

If you’re insecure about your situation, go do the very thing that scares you the most.

I usually say “I’m short but I identify as tall”

I am a woman and I am 6'1. I benefitted a lot too for this video and I am sure it is relevant for my boyfriend who is shorter than me.
Thank you Charisma on Command I value that you bring this subject up.

YES! People DO get weird about shortness, but I've always taken the Kevin Hart approach. When people ask how tall I am, I usually say; "4 foot 11 AND 3/4 inches (on a good day)". I also like to joke how people taller than me are abnormally tall.

As someone who's 5'0, this is pretty helpful! Just goes to show there is something you can do

This applies to being fat too.

I've always been a little overweight and when the conversation goes there I say I'm preparing myself to survive in case I get lost in the mountains, or that I'm fat on purpose so I can be warmer than everyone else during winter. People find it funny because it's absurd, and it shows I'm aware but comfortable with my body to the point I joke about it being "useful" rather than a negative trait.

After I joke about it I usually bring up to the table how I lost 25kg, how it changes your perspective, how I've found out there's more of me inside than my appearance, and how it makes you feel weird that people treat you different when you lose weight.

So... self-awareness, humour, and sharing a point of view some people may have never experienced.

Its just sad that even the guys who live by these tips gets accused of "overcompensating". The society really need to change their outlook on short guys so we can get over with this heightism. Luckily where I am from Its much less of a problem and Its common to see short guys in leadership roles and dating tall girls. At least that's the case with my province where the average man is 5'5. These tips are good for anyone to get respected and I recommend you use it no matter your size but Its just said to see that in the west we have to a point where we have to make these videos to and hope that short guys practice them effectively to even get the respect they deserve. Guys the height disparity with men in leadership roles is real, womens unfair high standards on tall men is also another thing. We really need to make a difference, someday.

Love this video! Would love to see one from the female perspective. One issue i face as a super short women, is that i can come off as overly assertive and too masculine; which unfortunately turns off male leadership and make it difficult to climb the corporate ladder.

Ooooohhh finally a video about this!!! That's more interesting than using tall guys as an example, not only from a social advice level but on a scientific level, to know what makes us tic.

Can you make a video on how to get your charisma back when you’ve already come to be known as the non-charismatic person of a group?

The worst thing about being a short guy (non-celebrity) is that most women just dismiss you as a romantic option at first sight. You don't even get the chance to display any charisma.

I do agree it works for other social interactions though.

Would’ve added working out to this list. It takes awhile to get results, but it helps you take up more space

I agree that being confident and charismatic can get people to respect you but we shouldn't ignore the fact that the people in this video are celebrities that's got a lot of money

This works for women too! I was taught these things in hs by one of my teachers pointing out why I command a room and "literally feel much taller than you are "😂

0:00 I realized that this is specially a problem in the US, it's crazy how a guy's value and potential can determined just by a simple number. I've lost count of how many times i've read comments like "if your height start with 5... [insert a super disrespectful and insensitive comment here]".
