You have to be served in order to get the default judgment. They made over a dozen attempts to serve me. When I would get home I would see all of the process servers on my surveillance video. Thank god I was never home. The debt collector ended up getting his case thrown out. This video is WRONG. They never did anything to me and I don't have any default judgment on me. Just avoid living in states that allow this BS for people to serve you by the newspaper. If you live in a state that allows this, THEN MOVE.

What if my statue of limitations is 4 years and it will be 4 years in September since my last payment and they're just now trying to serve a lawsuit? He came for the 1st time yesterday. Caught him on video and I wasn't home. He never left a card or anything on the door. What if i avoid it until October will i be in statue of limitations than or does it not matter because they filed before limitations even if i wasnt served?
