2019 BMW i8 Roadster FIRST LOOK

Here's a first look at the 2019 BMW i8 Roadster. Five years after the i8 Spyder Concept was first revealed, BMW has finally introduced a production version of the hybrid model. Based on the Coupe, the i8 Roadster uses a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged engine powering the rear wheels and the electric motor driving the front wheels, for a total output of 369 hp. Pure electric range is stated at 18 miles. The i8 Roadster comes with an electric soft top that opens in under 16 seconds at up to 31 mph. 0 to 60 mph takes 4.2 seconds and the i8 can fully charge in under 3 hours..
