Vargo Titanium Triad Stove Review

My solution to the need to prime this stove is to pour an ounce of fuel into the stove then drop a BB (the kind you shoot from s BB gun) to block the fill hole and put a few more drops of fuel on top of the stove and light the top to prime the stove. Works like a champ.

The new stove has a larger fill hole and I have used it on an 8 day AT section hike. It was great! If you have the old Triad (not - XE) with the small fill hole you can do a easy mod to fix it. Use a high speed cutter with a one inch cutting blade. Make 4 cuts to cut out a square 1/3 inch hole centered over the small fill hole. The blade cuts will extend out a little but it won't hurt. That helps a lot!

I also own this stove, it does boil water fast but I didn't have much luck blowing it out. I had to place a empty cup over it and then you can recover whatever fuel is left. It's a great stove.
