How could I do it if I want to work with JTabbedPane instead of separate panels? How to assign the corresponding JPanel to each button?
I thought something like event.selected(index, subItem.getIndex()-1); (In addSubMenu) in order to have Dashboard = 0, Email1 = 1, Email2 = 2, Email3 = 3. But it does not work properly, since chat = 2, so it does not select the appropriate tab for me. Thanks in advance!

Incredible video, I saw all 4 parts and it was incredible when I finished it anyway. I just have a problem, and I couldn't quite see where I did it wrong. The different panels are changed when I click on my third or greater index (0:3) but when I click on the first or second index (0:1 and 0:2), it has no effect. However, once when the panel changes, it already shows me the first and second index panel. For what is this? Sorry for the inconvenience

Thank you for your excellent work which is really very educational. I like the way you code.
I tried to reproduce your code for my program. Everything works perfectly fine except when I use your scrollpane:
I changed the color of my menu (gradientPane) but when I run the program, as soon as the mouse passes over the menu items, the background changes to black and erases my gradientpane.
Can you help me solve this problem?
