Missler goes to far Here in blending grace through all the ages. Paul calls his gospel the mystery of the dispensation of grace to gentiles, hidden in ages past. The dispensation of grace is a function for gentiles to have the law and other covenants suspended. So that gentiles can be fellow heirs and citizens with israel. Israel having the law and the covenants. Ours are the mysteries revealed in this age to Paul uniquely for Gentiles apart from the law and prophets. Chucks single definition of dispensation is incomprehensive, there are several definitions and implications of the word dispensation which is why the writers of the king james Bible crafted it and older dictionaries nuance the multiple levels of its perfectly sublime etymology. The greek work oikonomos not having adequate english wording to encompass all it means a carefully crafted word was invented. A dispensation is also a period in which something is given out. As in to dispense. Dispense also means to do away with, stop or postpone something previously given. In legal terminology its " a temporary dispensing of grace setting aside the former law, we might call that "a grace period" . Oikonomos means literally house law, as opposed to national or governmental law. An example might be "the rules inside the house are make yourself at home, help yourself to anything in the fridge. " whereas the law outside the house would consider helping yourself, breaking and entering, theft, or transgression of property lines. Tresspassing. Because of christ we have full access to promises by a dispensation of grace through a testator. Testament. As in new testament. The covenants in ages past belonged to israel according to paul. " theirs are the covenants, the promises, the giving of the law etc." We are granted a dispensation of grace in a mystery to be fellow heirs with Israel whichbis a revealed mystery kept hidden in ages past. Paul hows how gods program changes in other ages and eill change again in future ages when he pours outwrath, judges the nations, rules them with an iron rod, appoints his Bride as a co-ruler with him judging the 12 tribes of israel with glorified bodies., then reining for 1000 years, then satan is released from being bound foe a short time, the jesus hands his kingdom over to The father after the last enemy death is destroyed. Then heaven and earth will melt in a great heat and noise, and new heaven and earth become one, psul calls this "the mystery of His will to unite everything in heaven and in earth, this is the kingdom of God eternity. No more death, no more sun. The sky will rip apart etc, etc.

Don't forget though, David's throne (with Jesus ruling FROM it) will one day be upon the earth; Jerusalem. Many, many promises concerning the kingdom can only be understood (using valid hermeneutics, that is) as pertaining STRICTLY to a single nation; Israel.

In MY understanding, dispensational theology differentiates the distinction between Israel & the Church which is His Body (made up of Jew & Gentile, apart from the Law, circumcision, covenants, etc.).

I was hoping that he was going to say something about ultra- (or hyper-) dispensationalism.

Nonetheless, excellent video/teaching, as per usual from Chuck!

Did I take a lamb to church with me last Sunday? Yes, I took the lamb of God-Jesus Christ. There has always been need of a sacrifice for sin-even Adam and Eve-God killed an animal to make clothes for them. We know Able sacrificed an animal so we know as early as the children of Adam and Eve God required a sacrifice for sins, Noah sacrificed animals, Abraham, Moses and the list goes on until Jesus took the place of the sacrifice. So we still need a sacrifice today, but we have one in Jesus. Same law-that we must have a sacrifice for sin, but Jesus is that sacrifice so we meet that requirement through Jesus. But of course we have grace, just like the Israelites had grace as well.

Well, in Greek dispensation doesn't exist. Instead, it's things like ministration and office. Example : Ephesians 3 : 2 Matthew's bible (1537)*
If ye have heard of the ministration of the grace of God which is given to me youward.
Ephesians 3 : 2 coverdale (1535)*
According as ye have heard of ye office of the grace of God which is given me to youward.
Dispensation comes from the Latin vulgate as "dispensationem". Example:
Ephesians 3 : 2 Latin vulgate
Si tamen audistis ▪dispensationem▪ gratiae Dei quae data est mihi in vobis.

*spelling updated.
