The sheer awesome engineering that goes into stuff like this blows me away. I have a friend who is a hip level amputee (and the higher up, the more complicated the prosthetics get), and she got a knee that looks like it's straight out of NASA. I'm super jealous that they don't make exoskeletons like that (well, that any normal person could feasibly get), since I'm an incomplete C5 quad. I'll just be here impatiently waiting for my fancy Gundam robot suit.

Congrats on getting a better mobility option! I hope that it fits well into whatever shoes you need it to! My reaction to seing it before you explained it's uses, was probably not the typical. My first reaction was whether it will fit in your shoes because it looks taller in the foot in front of the ankle than my memory of seing your other foot. I had foot surgery in March and again in November and on my foot where the black ring is on your prosthetic foot, I have an implant, it's possible that the swelling will reduce enough that I'll get my old shoes back on, but I think that implant will mean that I won't wear my cowboy boots again since I can't get my foot past that point and my foot bumps out there now. It's a small price to pay for better mobility.

That ankle looks awesome. I am jealous 😊. I hope you do a video of you using it. I am off my prosthesis right now because I need a refit after my surgery to fix a nerve. I'm going to see my prosthetist tomorrow to start that.
My job got me an iwalk3 and it just got delivered today so I've been walking on it today trying to figure it out. I've wanted one of these since I saw you with yours a year ago. I wouldn't have known about it if not for you so thank you very much for all your videos. You have gotten me through a lot of tough times. Thank you.

That's a fox shock, originally designed for MTB, be careful not to scratch it or the scratches will ruin the seals. I wonder what they did to it to make it work in a prosthetic foot?

Maybe it still has the 4 digit code on it so you can see what model it is.

Like, I hope you find so many ways to have this incredible technology help you pursue all those things you do.

Bonus too, I remember really sitting with a point you made in a previous video about presentation and branding logos on parts of your body feeling weird, and that one looks much more visually mindful, it looks more like a practical mechanism for performance than a commercial product that you require to wear, I don't see any logos or anything, just a slick mechanical design.

I am indeed jealous sititng here with my boring meat legs, but in that healthy way where I'm just so damn happy for people like you to have such awesome things. With the trade offs of movement disability, it's only fair you get cool things like this that we don't.
