In 1.4 there is an option to turn off your cape, or in earlier versions you can turn the cape off with Optifine.

I don't know why not many people watch your video your very at making videos and I would think your as good as the yogcast cast

it should let you choose one item forever and you choose when to take it off so I could put a sword on my back while I use other tools and don't have to go back to put the sword back on, it should be an additional slot next to the chest plate in the armor slots
