The Muscle Car era was from 1964 - about 71. The 80s were past that. 80s engines were hardly Muscle Car engines

Again…

17 minutes with the rotten SoundCloud rapper music overshadowing the speech.

Golden era of muscle cars were through the years of 1955-1973 these are engines that came after that era and were plagued with low horsepower and torque due to emissions regulations that affected every automaker in the US.

And these engines weren’t necessarily bad, it’s the idiot who owns them and refuses to take care of them that causes it to fail,

the only exception I will make is the rotary’s. Rotary engines are good for horsepower at such a small size however those graphite clips at the edges of the dorito wore down over time, and sometimes it would misfire.

And finally NONE OF THESE ARE MUSCLE CAR ENGINES… where did you get your info from the back of a Lightning McQueen fruit snack box?

I shook my head so violently after opening up a 2.7 Chrysler for a timing chain replacement and seeing the water pump weep hole exit into essentially the oil pan and then I saw another one with a catastrophic (water pump failure) coolant leak into said oil pan! I saw the coolant contaminated oil and I noped out on any further involvement!

The rotary engine was also in the rx4, my folks had one of those.

Many GM engines, the rush to market with insufficient testing. Leaving customers to fit the bill for engineering failures. Ford has had its faults also but generally fewer and enough redesign to prevent being on this list!

1981 was 10 years after the muscle car era.

How are you gonna talk about the 864 engine and show a 4.1v8 completely different engines

Stop showing 4.5L & 4.9L Cadillac. Those were not bad engines.
