In game 1 Serral was serious corner cutting. He saw the void ray first and built only 3 queens for THE WHOLE GAME, just to inject bases. Then he spent no excess gas on armor/attack upgrades to get a fast lair and hydras, with only other gas investment a safety baneling nest and dropper lords as a followup. This allowed him to arrive at Reynor's natural with 18 range+speed hydras and lings at 7:45. I think Serral had a hard read on Reynor.

The reason why Serral built so many drones in game two is because he remembers the times when double stargate phoenix openers were the norm, he became the world champ around that time after all. The counter to that were to overmake drones to basically tank the economic damage. I don't know whether Reynor was old enough to know how to use the computer at that time so he does nothing with them. Man, 2018 was the most fun time to play protoss. So many openings and build orders.

Watched so many SC2 casts from Winter that I finally started playing again after xx years. I thought I'd get demolished 90% of the matches, but I'm actually doing pretty good I think about a 50% win rate unranked. 50-60 APM. It makes you appreciate how much work these pros are doing constantly. They are pretty incredible actually.
