You guys could pass for brother and sister. Seriously though, I lost my wife to breast cancer 3 years ago after 24 years of marriage. Make sure you take care of each other. Time is precious.

Good on you, Darwin! You do what you have to do. Family should always be top priority. I'm the caregiver for my wife who has been wheelchair bound for almost two years. I do all of the cooking, cleaning, pet care (dog and two cats), grocery shopping and whatever else has to be done. We will celebrate our nineteenth anniversary this month and will probably go to our favorite restaurant for dinner. I love to hike, backpack and overland camp but have had to limit my adventures to one night out and it's usually a stealth camping excursion as there are no dispersed camping areas within three hours of our home. I set up a "Hobo Camp" in the wooded area of our property and I'll go out there to test equipment, experiment with camp cooking, etc. It's not the wilderness or the mountains but it has to do for now.
