No one could've played Rusty...excep Cher. She was absolutely impeccable at nailing Rusty's strong and determined personality.

I can’t remember a movie as beautiful and as sad as this one.

His mother said they always listened to Bruce Springsteen and had not heard of Bob Seger, however the music in the movie Mask is perfect

After making this film, Cher became the spokesperson for the Children's Craniofacial Association, as well as a major financial contributor. She has remained in the position for 34 years. She also participates annually in their summer retreat for children.

Saw this movie as a 6 year old and was afraid of the dark for a decade because I knew that he was real. Grateful to revisit now as a 40+ year old father and be able to have empathy to rocky and his rusty! 🙏🏾❤️

The fact that use Bob Seger instead of Bruce Springsteen rings true to me because in all the biker days I remember Bob Seger sticks out not Bruce Springsteen

Saw the director's cut with the Springsteen songs, and it made no sense. Even if Rocky died the year on the tombstone in the movie (which is wrong) the Springsteen songs used weren't released until after Rocky's actual death.

Rocky’s story is so sad yet interesting and inspiring. The making of the film is so intriguing as well. Cher is fantastic as Rusty. It’s an amazing movie.

Bob Seager's "Roll me away" seems perfect for the ending of the film in my opinion. I learnd of that song and Bob Seager, because of the movie. Hugh Fan of his now.

Fun Facts: Cher's academy hairstyle should be credited to the soulful singer, Pattie Labelle.

Man some serious animosity between Cher and Peter. Both great at what they do and am glad they were able to come together to do make such a great film.

This is my favorite movie. However I love the theaterical more than the director cut. The added scenes with Cher singing was too showbizlike. and Reds funeral was foreshadowing Rocky's death so it wasn't much of a surprise. The Bob Segar music made the movie make more sense. Katmandu was perfect as well as the emotional ending. Bruce Springsteen not so much. It's hard to find the original production. It's better and fits better and is more special.

I first saw this movie in the 80’s when it came out on cable. Probably HBO due to the fact that this was the only premium channel on my local cable at that time. For many years I had only seen this film with Bob Seeger’s music playing. I haven’t seen it in almost 20 years as of last year. I couldn’t find it on any cable or streaming channels to watch. I decided to look for it on sale on Amazon. When I finally got it I was excited to watch. It made me a fan of Cher’s acting, but was confused and upset when I heard Bruce Springsteen instead of Bob Seeger. That was almost half of the reason that I loved the movie so much. I almost threw it away, but I haven’t. I also haven’t watched it since I bought it around three years ago. I’ve been looking all over the internet for someone that is selling it with the Bob Seeger soundtrack to no avail. I hope to find it sometime in the near future. I’ll be 58 on Tuesday and as I approach 60 I find myself thinking of my demise. I’m not fearful. I just realize that I’m far passed middle aged 😅.
