Can you use Dr Bronners Castile Soap instead of Sal Suds?

Mine didn't thicken after using organic vegetable glycerin in place of the kosher salt I didn't have on hand. Still without the kosher salt, I used my pink Himalayan salt and it worked like a charm. In fact, it began thickening immediately. I LOVE it! Thanks so much for the recipe!

Thank you so much for your good recipe I’m gonna try it out. I’m glad that you’re concerned about the environment for people pets and animals etc. one thing that I definitely did was to stop coloring or dying my hair as I realized I was truly polluting the waterways as many salons and folks do at home. now I’m happily showing off my long gray tresses!

I had a go at your recipe since the liquid gel soap I've been making seems to leave a film and water spots behind, which, I think, is due to the Fels Naptha soap. Through researching since making it the first time, I've learned that soap is quite different than detergent. I didn't have kosher salt on hand because I use pink Himalayan salt. I used NOW organic vegetable glycerin as my thickening agent and am presently waiting for it to cool and thicken. I figured it would accomplish the same purpose as kosher salt as it's what I used to thicken the liquid dish gel. Thank you for sharing.

Well said. I appreciate the way you articulate the facts so gracefully. Really made sense the way you broke it down. Thank you. 💖

Hi! If I don't have lemons on hand, can I use oranges and/or limes?

Thank you for some really great information. Question: since the oil and lemon are technically a food group, will they turn rancid if not used quickly?

We need to get back to using things like this, if we use and MAKE our own safe products, it will help us care for our land and help us not spend so much money and if we are able to safely get it ourselves we can live a more off grid lifestyle

Thanks for the video! Can you dilute this soap to use in a sprayer designed for dish soap (like an old Dawn power wash bottle [from a previous life] or a Norwex Forever Spray bottle)?

What difference does it make if iodized salt is used vs kosher? I only have iodized salt at hand (the ones from Aldi's) and I'm wondering if I need to hold off making this until I have Kosher.

Good evening, I noticed you said to add 1/2 cup of the sal suds but 1 cup is written in the description caption... it is 1/2 cup or 1 whole cup?
