I love Dr House. He occasionally shows sympathy but very rarely and when he does it is so wholesome. I genuinely love how his character changes over the seasons. He’s just so smart and so broken that he’s one of the most complex characters to be on a med show.

I'm from New Mexico and I can confirm that there are usually around 10 cases of plague in NM a year. It didn't go away, it just got A LOT easier give patients treatment!

It’s important to note, that the strain of the bubonic plague in the modern day is different from the Justinian and “Black Death” variants. Those were theorized to be much more virulent. The belief is that even though those variants are more severe/transmissible, they’d be weak to modern antibiotics like the modern strains.
