The problem with your assertions is that only 25% of F150 and other half ton pickup truck drivers report towing more than once a year. You do not mention that of those 25% the vast majority of them travel less than 30 miles when they tow.
We are talking about an insignificant margin error when we speak of 1/2 ton truck owners that tow outside of this truck single charge range.
I will also add that the Lightning has the same or better normal towing distance capabilities then most 1 ton HD trucks, in that is has equal torque, lower center of gravity, and regen to slow the trailer.
Long distance pickup hauling is done overwhelmingly with HD trucks, not F150’s

Even before watching this video, I'll be keeping my ford lightning. As I start watching the video, right off this guy starts telling you the true facts about the lightning. This truck is best suited for city and local driving and charging at home. Bottom line if I had to pay public charger prices I wouldn't have purchased my lightning. Tesla is converting many of their chargers to be used by the lightning & other vehicles using that connector but at a higher cost than regular chargers. Even more than Tesla owners pay.

Good summary. Lightning was my first EV, but 7th F150. Would be hard to go back to an ICE lightning, although I did like the Powerboost (hybrid), too.

Nice update. Everything you said what i think electric is good for, as of today. as for the negative comments, it just reminds me of the Chevy vs Ford vs Dodge nonsense I’ve heard my entire life. If the vehicle fits your needs and you enjoy driving it, then that’s the vehicle for you. The future is bright!

Great assessment. I really like your opinion on the F150 Lightning. One thing about the video, your opening music is too loud compared to your voice. On your future videos please make your voice at the same volume level as your opening music.

I own a lariat trim and you summarized well. Only thing you leave out is weighing how much extra you will pay for it vs ice. Basically extra 20k premium for electric. You really need the extra cash to justify.

If your someone who needs to drive in all weather and can’t just sit at home to work EV’s are not for you. Especially if it has to sit outside in weather.

If you like to travel more than 150 miles from your house then EV’s are not for you if you have time constraints for travel time for vacations.

So you traded one shitty ford truck for another one. There’s one born every minute. Eight hours to fully charge and only 350 mile range. The Silverado EV will give amost 500 miles of range plus you can charge up for a 100 mile range in 10mins. And don’t forget the quad steering.

Ford has a long history of bad designs, from the 1.3 wet timing/oil pump belts. The transmission in the I don't trust them. If I was spending this much on a truck I would want it from a company that at least tries for mediocre quality.

Not for me!!!! Not for most Americans!!!!) Not one soul I no wants an EV period! Even my own electric golf cart sucks!!! Constantly having to charge even with new top brand batteries! EV's will have to come a way before I have any interest. have fun dude, If you run out of juice on the toad, make sure you have your emergency drop cord! Good luck with it!
