Don’t even know how many times I’ve rewatched this and other films of this nature during the pandemic

Finished the film and read the comments. As a finisher, I think you all did a great job of capturing the feel, size, lonliness and the headspace of the race. I liked both the cinematography and the music selection. There are portions of the race that are crystal clear to me know, nearly 5 years after finishing, and there are entire sections of the route that are nothing more than a blur. The B&W and focus changes captured did a great job of bringing back those feelings.

While I appreciate the film, I will echo other comments in stating that it would have been good of this crew to have been held to the same standards that the other film crews were held to this year.

Just a wonderful film, thank you. Josh is a star. Keeping it calm when it gets really hard.

Also Lael is always laughing. She's amazing. 😁

Excellent film capturing Josh Ibbett's rookie year on the Tour Divide. I think it's infinitely better than 'I just want to Ride'.
Josh seems like an amiable human being, humble and a great athlete. Kudos to him and Hunt for making this film.

For those that don't ride they won't understand what a ride like that does to a person, it leaves scars and bruises but also leaves you extremely happy with accomplishment. Nothing worth doing is easy. Congrats Josh!

What he’d a few time in the last few months. Never boring to watch. Well done.

Excellent film. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I’d love to (tour) the GDMBR one day. If one thing really struck me from watching this - and this is no criticism of this team’s conduct - it’s the far stricter rules applied to Lael Wilcox’s documenting team. Really did seem to be double standards and I feel the organisers need one set of suitably robust rules for everyone’s media next year.

This was great. Disagree completely with the top comments here. Kudos for the doc crew for not putting themselves in it and also making an hour+ movie of basically similar footage of a dude on a bike so entertaining. I, for one, have never heard of the race before and only know it now because of this film. I’m personally glad they were allowed to make it. What an absolutely incredible journey to share.

Loved the film, really captured what I imagine is the mind set necessary to sustain such an effort. Thanks for putting it together.

Required viewing for anyone thinking a bike packing race would be a fun thing to do I reckon. I enjoyed the realistic portrayal of the highs and lows, great scenery and music. Nice work.

After no longer being able to race my bike, from the second I saw bikepacking on youtube I was hooked! Just got back from 4 days bikepacking around my region and now planning a 2 week bikepacking adventure around Sth Island NZ in March. And yes, there is something very liberating living entirely off one's bike...as Leonardo da Vinci said "Simplicity is the greatest sophistication".

I watched Lael go "rogue" on her video, and it's great to know you're one of the folks she hooked up with for the ride. It's the best thing in the world to just ride a few more miles with friends, old and new :)

Loved the themes.
Captured the excruciating nature of ultra riding for me.
I have never ridden an ultra.
Congratulations all.

The next best thing to a really long bike ride is a really good film about a really long bike ride. Great job!

Wow Josh well done, what a fantastic achievement, just watched the film from start to finish and thought it to be the best thing I’ve ever watched on YouTube, you were open and honest with your emotions and how you were feeling about the challenge, I do hope you do it again, but only when you are ready, and your heads in the race from day one, absolutely brilliant film, thank you Guys, and all the very best to you for 2020.

Really shared/shows the courage and vulnerability you brave cyclists endure in such races. Breathtaking scenes and landscapes.

Inspirational film. What an amazing effort by Josh and all the other riders. Fantastic! 👍🏻

On the movie editing, I liked the b&w and the saturated colour footage, they added to the mood. Great music too. There were a few glitches with the titles showing 1st June instead of 1st July towards the end, but overall I found it very watchable.
