Sometimes I think that BMW has nailed it and then there's the front of the i7. it's a challenge to look at but is it really that bad?

The only time I worked as a chauffeur, it was our own kids in the back. Somehow, they survived without reclining seats and the rest. How fast will this car ... depreciate?

Great review as always . I love the looks I really do I think it’s very imposing. I have the current 5 series and the new 5 series is coming very soon and if it looked exactly like this ( only a lot smaller ) id be very happy . I’m surprised that demo doesn’t have that massive drop down 32 inch tv that seems to be the party piece for every review

Wow, that grille could scare old ladies and small children.

Bob, is that the poverty pack i7X? Jonny Smith tested one it had a drop down 26" surround TV projector in rear - must be the UK model.
Lovely car sumptuous, only the rich or Companies will be able to afford one.
Keep up the good work Bob.

I was told by the ESB-cars that they are now aiming for multiple chargers - no more single dual point ones (like mini tesla stations). Also does Tesla not allow anyone to use their charge points now (or at least a few), once you sign up for them? Remember its not long ago that our motorway system had no fuel stations (or toilets). The big issue is likely grid access to connect to such large power demands that fast chargers need on tap. Fuel pumps need good power access but no fuel stations are fitting chargers themselves. Like public housing, its the private sector thats expected to deliver vs waiting for the public sector to meet demand. We also realise that much of this power demand is at peak times (too long at lunchtime). Office charger rollouts are needed (more than one-two token ones) yet this is like demanding all firms have canteens....Why is the UK able to have more chargers, when the market share for EVs is even lower here than there?

So did Bob mention what the range was suppose to be with a full charge? (Must have missed it if he did.)

The amount of fingerprints on the screens and the complexity of utilizing the amenities on offer makes this more of a show than pure convenience, that's not what luxury is all about, add to that the looks that leaves driving comfort which you can get from too many other cars, so good luck BMW.

Bit of overkill on the systems in the touchscreen.
EV's only work if you can charge at home. For many people, that's not, and never will be, possible.

To quote the late great Norm MacDonald: ”Not easy on the eye”. It looks like the car is licking the number plate. Other new Bmw’s are eating the number plate already.

Hello bob, do you know if there is anyone local (carlow, kildare, laois)converting cars to electric.

We have a id4 great car we use a home charger with no hassle at all charging it, the problem is as you said when we go out and need to use public chargers, I stayed in a hotel which had a public charger in Dublin and needed to charge, after downloading the app and putting e20 of credit on it, it charged the car from 21% to 46% and ran out of credit, the local petrol station had a fast charger we were going to use, but had 3 taxis waiting to use the 1 charger, stopped at applegreen to top up the charge on the way home, they have 1 esb fast charger @64c per kilo watt it 1 other public charger @74c per kilo watt. At those prices it's cheaper to use diesel. @ our home charger it approx 18c per kilo watt night charge.

Hi Bob, love the videos but I don’t think you are being fair in the waiting 2 hrs at a charge station for full charge. If you left home with a full charge and were returning home a top up 30 mins would be more than sufficient for the majority of people to get home.

It’s a no from me, another 5/8 years, currently electric cars in Ireland are like the iPhone 1, very useful, however a few years away from being entirely practical

NO J17 is not the first CCS on the way to Cork/Kerry, Junction 14 with its 7 CCS High power units (150kw) is the first major charge station. Also don't forget the 8 Ionity CCS stalls at Kill (250kw). Our ID4 charges @ 175kw at Junction 14, 20mins adds 300km range, its takes longer than 20mins to use the rest room and grab a coffee while the car is fuelled by itself. Keep banging on your hobby horse about poor charging infrastructure, I'm sure OPEC will be delighted. Ireland is a small island, pottering around Portlaoise area is not an indicative demonstration of BEV convenience in Ireland. Dublin to Kerry or Donegal @ 120kph on a single charge is easy peasy winter or summer in an EV6, Ioniq 5, ID4, ID5, iX, EQA, EQB, EQC, EQS, EQE, eNiro, Kona or MG. But the gospel according to you dear sir is doom and gloom. Toyota and OPEC will honour people such as your self. Otherwise the BMW review was great apart from the misinformation on the charging network. Enjoy your presentation style, its a breath of fresh air compared to some of the wooden styles online. You don't need to be an BEV evangelist, just please stick to the truth please.Good afternoon.

Thank's for trying to highlight the elephant in the room

Infastructure not fit for by a long shot!

EV's only suitable for short(ish) commuting and urban yet they are being forced upon us.

Watched Nobby's road trip to Cork in the Long range (I shit you not) absolute calamity.

The manufacturers should not be able to use the WLTP range figures in marketing.

Rant over (for now)

Love your work.
