RE: circuit breaker finder >
I'm a retired engineer who worked as an electrician for years. Poorly-labelled panels were always an aggravation. Proper circuit identification should be a PRIORITY!

A tip with stranded wires - use the insulation to twist the wires as you pull the stripped insulation off. Does a much better job than just your fingers on the strands and faster too.

Circuit finders are notorious for induced signals on other adjacent circuits. At best you’ll narrow it down to 3 or 4 circuits.

Those exact Weicon automatic strippers can be had for $16 at Harbir Freight under the Pittsburgh brand!

The knipex strippers look identical to the Snap-On ones I bought in the mid 80’s.

I use the good old method of plugging a power strip with a led and flipping the switches until the led goes off. harder to do when it's a boiler. Had 3 labels mixed up in my installation when I moved in.
but yeah this little thing is cool

Robertson oh no.... is electricity the same there as in America? Or is it in metric too? ;)

I think the electrician that wired my house also used those type of goggles, at least 6 outlet box’s I had to rewire 😂
Great vid, thx for sharing 👍👍

The problem is, you install the wire nut in correctly. It goes on before the wires are twisted. Read the instructions.

I came here to mock what the thumbnail suggested was a test device which lights up when screwed into a hot lamp socket. I guess it wasn't that, but now I've got a bunch of new wire strippers in my cart! BTW, the cheaper ones at the 04:50 look exactly like what I have since early 80's and still work like new. I think they were more than $10 40+ years ago, so who knows if newer Chinesium ones will last as long.

I've had this product for at least 6-7years now not new does works very well for residential but not so good for commercial as a circuit tracer.

The Klein circuit breaker finder is OK, but it is not anywhere nearly as easy as many demonstration YouTube videos imply. They produce a lot of false positives that you need to chase down.

I have the Southwire Romex cutter and the rubber handles pulled off the third time I used them.

Just plug in a loud radio if you're trying to find the breaker

There are several brands selling the "Knipex" stripper of that size and smaller unit to work 20awg and smaller like Paladin mini-stripax. Ideal and others still make a good clone or cheap copy of Speedex stripper that have/had 10+ blade sets to strip different types of wire since 1950's but Most only see 20-12awg blade set.
