I made mine work with the original yellow, white and red with my smart tv. You just have to try a bunch of different combos to get it. It will work

After you have the component cable set up, You should go into the Wii Settings > Screen > TV Resolution > EDTV or HDTV (480p). It will help with the quality and resolution.

Okay, ... What do you do when you have Composite Pots (1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 White) on the back of the TV ?
We hooked up the original Wii cable but the picture on the Vizio TV is horrible.

NOTE for those who are modded with usb loader gx and unable to play games like the last story select the game and its settings then game load then change video mode to force ntsc480p VIDTV patch on sneek patch on aspect ratio force 16:9 then the game will run

The answer is getting an upscaler. They are made for a specific audience so they are pretty pricey. The best option is getting a retrotink 5x
