Have you ever had an unexpected $127.99 charge on your phone bill? You will...and the company that will bring it to you, AT&T.

They were right about everything, except the AT&T part.

Have you ever utilized state-of-the-art technology in 2022 to watch TV commercials from 1993?

These commercials used to have me so excited about what the 2000s would be like lol. Its crazy looking at these nearly 30yrs later and seeing how accurate they are...

My dad worked at AT&T until 1985. He talked about how “video conferencing “ would be a big thing. I wished he lived long enough to see it come true.

My favorite part is that video phones are apparently in phone booths.

Love the nostalgia of hearing the music and Tom Selleck's voice! I was much younger back in 1993, so full of optimism, so full of energy!

Have you ever called customer service only to be placed on hold for 2 hours? You will, and the company that will bring it to you is AT&T.

It's interesting that we thought phone booths would be around forever. I notice this in movies set in the future too.

Have you ever received an extraordinary high bill every month filled with hidden charges and fees?

You Will ....

If you sign up with AT&T.

The downside to that is that a vacation isn't really a VACATION anymore. Back then, if you were on a tropical beach, you were only expected to slather on the sunblock and have a good time. Then, you could return to work replenished and ready to go. Now, you are expected to sign into meetings from wherever you are, which leads to burnout

And the company that will bring it to you, literally every other company but AT&T

"Or tucked your baby in, from a phonebooth?"

Person born after 2000

I just noticed that the mom video calling her baby from the phone booth is Jenna Elfman.

I worked there. It was super frustrating to see the company spend so much money on the ads and so little funding the R&D we needed to bring things to market. Long Distance revenue was in a free fall and I remember being called a "white socks guy" by a handsome, articulate marketing person and told that the "Internet" was going to go the way of the CB radio.

It’s easy to “predict” the future when you’re a huge company already working on the base technologies.
