This fossil hominin lived in China about 150,000 years ago.

The species was described in 2018 from a skull found near Harbin almost 100 years ago. The skull is perfectly preserved, massive, with a large brow and a huge nasal opening. One tooth was preserved, very large, like that of the massive Australopithecines.

Some anthropologists believe that Homo longi is a type of Denisovite. This is indicated, for example, by the absence of the third molars, which is also the feature of the only known Denisovan jaw from the Tibetan Baishia cave.

This is one specimen. Many more will be needed to get a reasonable picture of this species. Hopefully more exploration will be done.

By looking at the eye orbits, and the huge brow that makes up the forehead, Homo Longi looks like a direct descendant of African Homo Heidelbergensis, The Ancestor of Early Humans, doesn't look like that of a Neanderthal's Cousin known as Denisovan.
Homo Longi is obviously an Archaic Homo-Sapien, aka, an Early Human, since it has more similarities to African Homo Heidelbergensis, an Ancient Human Ancestor that lived til 200, 000 years ago.
