The Final Upgrade for My Red Focus RS! | PROJECT PART 14
Показать описание
It's back and now with new brakes! My project car, the Ford Focus RS Red Edition has been fitted with a set of Nashin Cup Series 6-piston brakes fitted at AROS Group, preparing it for the fun ahead. This has been one of the last planned upgrades for the car as part of the project, now it's game on!
As we can see on the Heritage, the mk3 Focus RS has as standard on the front axle the 4 piston calipers with 350mm discs, a great setup for the standard configuration of either 350hp, or 375hp in the case of the Heritage RS. However with my Red RS featuring numerous upgrades including a fully reworked engine by Mountune with new internals, bigger turbo and plenty of further changes that take power to circa 500hp in order to maintain braking performance under hard driving, clearly the brakes need to be switched up.
The solution: Nashin Performance Brakes, and in this case the Cup Series 6 piston monoblock calipers, 380mm discs and new Sports pads - a setup that's going to offer a lot more confidence. For extended track use there will also be the option of switching out to Race pads for continued load but for general road use plus the Nurburgring Nordschleife outings ahead, this set up is ideal.
We can easily see the difference between the new and old by comparing with the Heritage RS during the visit to AROS Group; distributor and installer for Nashin Brakes, where there are also plenty of other cars to check out in the workshop too.
You can find out more information about Nashin Brakes and the Cup Series setup found on my Red RS here:
And a special thanks to AROS Group, distributors for Nashin Brakes for their work and help:
Thanks for watching, Tim
