WWE has said from the beginning of AEW that they aren't competition. WWE is sports entertainment and AEW is Wrestling. Only the internet pita them against each other. And guess what you can like both.

That’s a terrible flex. Wrestlers put their bodies on the line everyday they step into the ring. They deserve time to rest, relax and be with family. The grind of being on the road all the time and sacrificing time for family and healing wasn’t a good take back in the day and it’s not now.

As someone who prefers AEW, I don't see what's so controversial about what HHH said. AEW isn't nearly big enough to compete with WWE. If they can grow then maybe in a few years it might be a competitor, but right now it's just an alternative. Also, it's true that a lot of stars that come into WWE end up washing out due to bad booking, not understanding the system, etc. The only disagreement I do have is backhanded comments towards Ospreay and the grind. Ospreay is basically a new father and if the WWE biographies have taught me anything is that the wrestlers more than often regret spending so much time away from their families due to being on the road so much. Nearly every wrestler from HHH's era and before have been divorced at least once, so I don't blame Ospreay for wanting to spend more time with his family and watch his children grow.
