This message is right on time for me. As a father of five (1 yr to 8 yr old), I've often feared the idea of my children rebelling when they're older and how I'd handle it. This presentation helped me to appreciate two main points. The first is to teach the children how to find a friendship in Jesus. The second point is to love your child like Christ through the rebellion and only consider them leaving the home if there is TOTAL rebellion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Pr. Lemon.

Parents, I would fast and pray and think very carefully before putting your child out of the house. Who will reach them if not us? P&P says "God bore long with Lucifer" - he was lost and then he was removed from heaven! It's different if you have younger children who are being influenced. My only child comes to church infrequently, he's 26. He had stopped going at all, but he loves living at home. We have a close relationship. Recently we have started having short devotions in the morning before he leaves out for work. I didn't have a Christian upbringing and I haven't done right by my son, but I am praying that he will see Jesus and fall in love. I pray for our children 🙏

I've learned that no one goes from 0 to 10 .. rebellion starts in the heart way before outward behavior..sometimes as parents we assume compliance is heart obedience so when the "true colors" come out ..All parents need ..we need Him🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I thought of one more example of when it is ok for children to leave home. When they are adamant that they should go. The example would be the prodigal son. The father let him go, but had a heart of love should he come to his senses.
