Interesting how pot worms can be there one day, then bin condition changes and then they're suddenly gone... but can return at any time.

I put a plastic lid over my top layer of soil to act as a removable mulch layer. I find that it brings these worms to the surface to break down my amendments. I also credit them with controlling gnat flies.

You're showing it to close. I can't tell if this is what I saw in my garden. Up close turns my stomach. Eeeeck!

Thank you for this video! I thought i had parasitic worms my Canna bed soil, and I was pretty freaked out. Now I see that these critters im dealing with are almost certainly harmless, and even good for the soil.

I recently noticed these in one of my European night crawlers bins and i was worried that they may be some type of harmfull like root eating nematode that would harm my garden when i use my castings. Thank you for posting this video very informative indeed.

I used to have black fly problems.... but more precomposting fixed that

I looked this up after finding them in my terrarium. I found a group under a dead leaf and they were together like tubifex worms. I had not seen them until I put some turtle food sticks in the terrarium. My clean up crew like the turtle food and so do my snails.

Probably wheat or oats in small doses is better! I use oats to breed worms but just a sprinkle is good for the week

OMG thank you! I’ve been trying to figure out what the little white wormy guy was who’s trapped in my sealed terrarium for over a month now! And last night i noticed that there was at least one other smaller white thing too

Are those grindal worms? In the aquarium industry, they're one of the more awesome live fish foods (speaking in terms of yuck factor). Fish LOVE them.

I had a bunch of these appear one day in my millipede encloser. Good to know I can use them as a warning that the calcium levels are getting too low and I need to powder up another eggshell or perhaps ill give Cuttlebone a try.

Thank you for the super helpful advice. The closeups were a bit terrifying but I learned so much from your video. Now I need to adjust the ph and bedding in my bin because I found a ton of them in there today! 😩

I found these worms in my rose plant pot.
Will they make any harm to the plant?
