Anyone else notice the last loader karate chop the shell? 😂

I really think that the Irl speeds depend on the experience the loader has

Edit: Whoah, never gotten this many likes before. Thanks 👍

Another fun fact is the autoloader carousel on the T-64 and the T-80 rotates clockwise only, so the reload rate can be as long as 20 seconds depending on where the desired shell is located in the carousel

The T-64/T-80 autoloader also has a mode that automatically loads the next ammunition regardless of the type, usually before loading the crew would input what type of ammunition is going to be loaded next

Keep in mind that in T-72s and T-80s the auto loader has to be manually engaged by activating a button. Which is why you see some inconsistencies online in videos over it.

America:man this M109 takes so long to load wish we could have something faster
Sweden: SAY NO MORE
*Sweden casually puls out an artillery piece with a 3.5 sec auto loader*

the thing with reload rates is they can be inconsistent especially when there's people invoked vs auto loaders and especially when say a tank is moving and isn't stationary if war thunder added these different reasons for slower reload it would get annoying and less fun

the T-80’s reload irl is a little bit slower considering that it has to select which shell to use during its reload process

Советский обт- перезарядка заканчивается только после того как автомат заряжания сложился.
Американская самоходка-снаряд в стволе-все, готово!

For the M109 you still have to put the firing pin and the cord on, and while it might only add a couple of seconds it’s still necessary to fire

Ah yea-War thunder is the “most realistic war game out there”
Also war thunder:having the most accurate reload speeds for tanks 💀

The slow Leo reload time should be the inexperienced time. An experienced loader will reload in 4-5 seconds but war thunder isn’t ready to accept how good the Leo truely is

Edit: I should probably say that it’s obviously not possible for an endless number of rounds but 3-4 rounds with 4-5 second reloads is possible. There are videos of it

I mean, there's footage out there of Russian and Ukrainians T-64s, T-80s, T-84s which all use the same autoloading systems just spitting out rounds at the 6.5s reload rate. The footage u showed and measured was training footage, usually they dont fully load the autoloader which can make the carusel spin complete 360 a few times which might make it appear to have a longer reload

each tank has different generations and variations so the loading can depend on that and the crew.

In Warthunder the reload of the IS-2's 122mm cannon is roughly 27 seconds, however in real life it was closer to 9-12 seconds, but for balance sake, it was increased.

for the t80 irl the gunner have to press a button to reload so that's why its longer

There's no Russian bias they said yet the t-80U is a good example

I think the irl loading speed also depends on the situation the tank crew is in. For example if it's a training session or some tank display and entertainment purpose loader won't load that fast as he would in the warzone or battle situations.

The first one I think could be slightly nerfed but all the M109’s NEED an accurate reload speed

An interesting fact: the speed of loading a gun with an automatic loader on Soviet MBT ranges from 4 to 8 seconds, as I read on the Internet, it depends on the time of its operation
