Lorne says that the network has never interfered with them telling jokes or going after a certain person; when they fired Norm Macdonald because he was telling O.J. Simpson jokes. Apparently, an executive at NBC was friends with OJ and didn't like that Norm was calling him a murderer and making so many jokes on weekend update. Lorne flat-out lied.
