One of the most beautiful, touching animations I have ever seen. Superb atmosphere of joy, melancholy, sophistication and simplicity which like all great films appeals on multiple levels. I emerged from it still under a spell.

Personally I really liked this movie. It is slightly depressing, myself being a magician this film encompasses how you don't want your life to go! Felt connections between the characters but mainly I disliked the girl. This film will make you feel for the magician and may make you realise that behind the facade of performance and charm there is an emotionally crippled person whose light is slowly going out. Apart from that enjoyed the flick! :)

As an independent film maker myself, it is my personal observation that indie films, due to very little to no media coverage, they resort to over-saturating their trailers with film review quotes from publications no one has heard of. The result is they that fails to accomplish a trailer's purpose. Showing what the film is about. Ex. Ajami or I am Love
Yet by contrast,  there are of course trailers that give so much story away, there is no reason to see the film at all. Ex. Bank Job or Brave One

@IVXIVI Actually, I've done quite a lot of work with Maya, Blender and 3D Studio Max. And I've actually been doing animation since I was 10 years old, making stop-motion films with clay figures. I've also worked a lot with 2d animation and Flash.
You, sir, are just a lazy person. But, granted - CGI does require some skill and artistic sense. And assuming you spend a great deal of your time doing 3d animation, I should certainly express how proud I am of you! I'm very proud of you!

Awwwh, how I miss this old animating style... A style that actually requires some effort, skill and artistic sense, not to mention a human touch. And it's a 1000 times prettier than that cold, soul-less CGI style you see today.

@julikell I'm in agreement with this. It's a very disappointing flick. It feels like there's a third act missing and the character's motivations are treated as arbitrary.
