I really appreciate you pointing out the "traditional" stereo on the chorus. I understand that people who are looking for specifically a recreation of a classic device might find that appealing, but nothing disappoints me more than purchasing a stereo pedal that is split wet/dry except for one that is labeled stereo and turns out to be dual mono.

This is the best explanation of an 1176 I’ve ever heard. Well articulated. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

As a convicted compressor and boost JUNKY, that P76 Comp looks perfect. The analog compression meter looks really useful, none of my other comps the - Okko Cocaine, Keely GC2, Xotic SL and Chinese Clon Origin76 - have an adequate comp meter, so i find I'm always OVER compressing when playing live. It's gonna take something revolutionary to get the GC2 off my board~

That 1176 looks sweet. The CE-1 clone isn't bad either, but I have yet to find a CE-1 clone as simple and beautiful sounding as the Horrothia Type One.

Thanks for the great video, Mark! This video got me thinking some about the stereo signal chain. I know you have tons of video idea suggestions but as a relatively new writer/player I struggle a bit with what should be stereo and what shouldn't. For example, this chorus is stereo so it can fit before or after other stereo pedals. But, it's also possible that a mono chorus could just go before the stereo pedals and get its width this way. I also thought of this when I watched your Monumental Tremolo video and in my mind I immediately wrote off mono versions. But, then I realized I could put a mono trem before my LVX or OTO BAM stereo reverb and still get stereo width. You can tell I'm a little confused :) Always appreciate your insights. Planning to check out your Patreon too, btw. Thanks!

That WA-C1 sounds so good. I could hear Smashing Pumpkins for a moment and also a tab bit of flavour from one of my fav swedish bands called Kent. That thing gonna be hard to not purchase XD

The transparency is much appreciated. I've generally had great experience with Warm Audio's gear. Their FET 47 sits on my drum kit kick-out. And I absolutely love their KM-84, on acoustic guitar, but overheads too. Their WA-47 is a really good sounding mic too. So I keep an open mind with these. I suppose one question I'd have is what types of input signals it can handle. Is it intended solely for guitar, or can it be used on line-level signals too? Here in the UK, it has competition with the Cali'76, which second-hand are in a similar price bracket, and are more compact. The fact it has the balanced out makes it particularly interesting for bass guitar, where you can tap a DI signal from the back of it, to run parallel before the rest of the chain, amp, cab, and mic.

Did I just see a Telecoustic???? I would love to see how you use that in your workflow, plus any best practices. It's maligned, but I think it has it's place especially in the studio setting.

I was literally with the laptop on my lap searching for a boss CE 1 ...this would be a very good deal for me if it sounds as good as the universal audio plugin ! thanks for the demo!

Great video! How do you like the mic? I didn't know that Warm Audio made an RCA-44 clone. I might need to get one of those...
