Paying extra to play a game early is my least favorite pre-order mechanic.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the entire concept is phased out eventually, because a significant amount of the people trying to pay extra are the ones with a chip on their shoulder who want to be the first to talk crap, in an effort to undermine sales.

I know this probably wasn’t even an Obsidian decision lol, I just wanted to voice my opinion in case any of the actual suits are reading this trying to gauge how much their bonuses are going to be or whatever.

I’ll give this a “maybe.” I have heard both good and bad things about this so I’ll play it safe, wait a couple of months and see what the final judgement is.

How about making it so npc's actually move around and do things rather than be static? Makes the world feel very...unalive and stale.

I'll miss you, Obsidian. There was a time, sincerely, when the characters in KotoR II became as close companions to me. The story we were involved in was so delightful and rewarding to me. I wasn't talked down to, but was encouraged to think and to reflect and act upon the settings themes. Now, these things will only ever be memories.

Going against the comment section here. I downloaded it and play it from the xbox game pass. I would say it's a pretty solid game and way more fun than it appears. If you like RPG games in general I can definitely recommend it.

What they don't show about the environments is how DEAD the world really is. You'll be lucky to see two walking NPCs in an entire town and literally every single other NPC is starch-stiff and stuck in place.
