Unpopular opinion but I think it’s a great addition. I’ve been playing since 2017. It’s so nice having a secondary way to level my PMC. I think they should def put a modifier in there. It shouldn’t be 1:1 xp transfer. Maybe 25% of your arena xp is shared with your EFT PMC

the overlay crash bug and q times is what initially messed early wipe up…that and people camping tasks sites/extractions.

newcomers to tarkov, like me, aren’t fond/comfortable with soloing and tend to play casually or pass up time in arenas until a buddy with more experience gets on.

I understand “getting tarkov’d” is a part of the game…but theres a difference in dying to a toz holding scav and a lvl 32 with 6k hours being a bush wookie.

It’s better for the casuals. If you’re experienced in tarkov you can use arena to just accelerate traders. Bad players will always be bad.

Arenas made early wipe enjoyable for the casual gamer. Not everyone has the time or skill to reach 15 in a day on the regular mode. By day 2 half the player base is rocking meta kits while the rest of us are trying to just get our notes for jaeger. Kinda evens the playing field just a smidge in my own humble opinion

I don’t think it killed it. I think it’s going to be a temporary thing until they get bored. Plus their PMC’s will be high enough level they’ll come in, snag all the good loot and run Chad kits

Played at least 5 wipes… this one is no different other than the new map, weapons/items and tripwires. I’ve enjoyed playing Ground Zero since I never got the chance to give it a try.

As a person who’s been playing since 2018. Good. Because objectively early wipe is bad for completely new players as they have to keep up with the wipe to stay competitive. A lot of new / rare players don’t do that. They play for a couple days one time. And wanna come back to it and be as good as they were before. Regardless of how long it’s been since they’ve played. Arena is the solution to that. Not to mention some of my friends play mainly arena and not really Tarkov, but they’re good at arena. So if they were to come over to normal Tarkov and get shit on. Because theyre now under geared. Then either they’re gonna start grinding right there and then to be competitive. Or just give the game up entirely. It’s happend to enough people I’ve tried to introduce Tarkov too for the understand that phenomenon.

TLDR: arena was linked to allow new / rarely returning players to stay competitive.
