Ohio is growing its footprint in the electric vehicle manufacturing space. Big car makers such as General Motors, Honda and Ford have all announced sites around Ohio to make components for EVs or electric vehicles. A new site in Dover is also preparing to break ground later this year. Meanwhile, the state continues to invest in EV infrastructure such as increasing charging stations statewide.
These investments come as the prices for electric vehicles are falling. But will increasing jobs and decreasing prices drive consumers toward electric vehicles? We will discuss the state of the EV landscape in Ohio.
Later in the show, dollar stores are the fastest growing sector for food retailers and outnumber "big box" stores nationwide. Now some cities and towns, including Canton, are pushing back on "small box discount stores" by enacting moratoriums on new stores and rules for operation. (Air date: April 17, 2024).
