Takes upwards of 1-3 years to plan and move these kinds of loads. As an experienced Heavy Hauler depending on the distance you’re talking Millions $. With Bridge Monitors, Police Escorts, Engineers all involved this is no simple bid and move. Most likely an experienced Heavy Haul outfit such as Barnhart will not touch this for less than 1.5 million and that’s just a rough estimate. The routing plays a big factor as this load has to be routed according to load weight limits

That's just impressive to move that much weight around with 3 trucks.

Most I ever hauled was 183, 000. Plus the rig. That stuff there is stressful. I don't do well with 15 cops watching.

As a former flatbedder, TQL couldn't afford what it would cost for me to move or the company I previously worked for.

$8 a mile, but the broker kept most of that and the fuel surcharge.

This is something you see in Australia a lot, mining is huge and turbine wind equipment goes along the roads regularly house removals too heavy mining excavators travel interstate huge wide loads 100 tons at a time doing 3500klm in distance on two lane roads there's no passing till it pulls over at rest stops amazing sights also road trains 3 sometimes 6. 40ft trailers on dollies takes a lot of space to try pass them.

Never done heavy haul but I know the cost for blades is over a million. Blade trailer cost over 300k. I heard the company drivers at ats made 10-15k per blade but they had to babysit the load for multiple weeks sometimes because they were installed right off the trailer and that can't be done in inclement weather, light wind (10mph is too windy) or if crane isn't there yet or they're not ready. Lots of delays possible on top of the transport logistics. So it might only take 3-5 days to get to site, driver may have to wait weeks to get unloaded.

Hauling a 1, 000, 000 LB load into New York.
New York mayor: Pull him over and fine the commercial driver. $2 per pound. Plus an illegal parking fine. For being illegally parked, when pulled over. Then have both his truck and loaded trailer. Towed to the impound lot.

In the early 90s I use to spend every summer riding with my grandfather in his cabover international.. First job I ever had at 7 years old 😳. I would climb the trailer ladder 🪜 and watch my grandfather push field corn down the trailer shoots. My grandfather passed away while driving that truck right near a local town we drive by quite Mile marker 55 near exit 52 on interstate 72 ... still remember the spot all these years later ... he was a tough man and taught me what real trucking was all about ... the cabover he drove had over 4 million miles on it ...

Skillz… I’ve hauled a 200, 000lbs loads. Make sure they pay for the rigging and special equipment. It’s the setup cost not the miles. I would think $100k for the day because it would take the 3 power units, pilot cars and equipment all day to take 100 miles.

I talked to a guy that said he hauled a 27' wide load from Georgia to San Diego. He said it wasn't heavy, just wide and after all expenses he cleared $250, 000. But he said it took over 3 weeks to get there. Not only that, the planning that goes into moving something like that is enormous. Infrastructure has to be rearranged to accommodate something that wide or special detours built. You're looking at ALOT of money to move something like that.

Man it's even more impressive hauling up and down a snowy mountain. If any of those tires hydroplane or hit black ice, all of them are HEAVILY screwed. Can't even imagine the pressure on the lead tractor trying to control the speed going downhill with that. Sheesh🤯🤯🤯

Years ago I seen one similar and I knew the owner of the company. Told me was over a million bucks to move one from tx to wi because it was so heavy they had to go around the Mississippi River and took a year to plan and haul
