It's great to see headphone companies coming up with more affordable products, especially since headphones seem to be getting more and more expensive these days.
That being said, $1800 is still no way near affordable, but at least the price is going down.

Abyss is gonna make Hifiman and audeze sweat at the $2k price point.
I was going to buy lcd-x at some point or mm500… but none of those are ABYSS. My only concern is that idk how good the tuning is for music productions .

Hmm finaly an Abyss i can put my hands on.
Hifiman has been charging big bucks for their higher end planars such as Susvara and HE1000, and despite the sound quality being there, everyone knows the reputation Hifiman products have. i don't feel like droping 2K+ on an HE1000 Unveiled or 700 on an Arya but 1, 8K on an Abyss product is a different story.
Abyss aren't DIY quality products, the value is certainly there; just gotta wait and see if it has crazy amplification requirements to "sound good" or if you can plug this thing on an Aune S9C and call it a day as well. This planar could end alot of uber expensive headphones right there depending on how it performs and what it requires to perform good.

You did it. I will be purchasing Joal. I do field levitation/propulsion so I'm going after the Vortex monolole plasma static headphone driver market. Only Americans have the 10 year warranty cajones in the world. That's real. I want to place a Century warranty on my woof drive crafts.
