Good one...

I'm intolerant of people who call me intolerant because they themselves are intolerant of my tolerant views.

Klavan is actually very lucky that Hitchens died in 2011. When will this talk about "Judeo-Christian" values stop? These values were not "created" by any religion but are products of reason. Our civilization came from mesopotamia, greece and rome not from palestine. I can feel how he would continue his nonscense by saying that all morality is derived from religion.

Also I like how he spinned this incident: its not bad that Dowkins was kicked out because he critisized islam but that he wasnt when he critisized christianity. It almost seems as if someone was triggered LOL

I usually like guys like Klavan or Crowder but their religious vanity is disgusting.

I think this might be my favorite Klaven intro yet. i would like to say ever but there is a good chance he may come up with one that's even better.

I was a little confused about the situation before seeing this video. Thanks for clearing it up.

Horrible people have done great things and great people have done horrible things. It's always easier to cherry pick when your view is limited to a particular perspective.

I have a respect for Judaism, but the values of American society are more aligned with Chritianity, and Protestantism in particular. Though Judaism is important, since without it Christianity would have never came to be. The founders were protestants, and the country is based on two things really: Christianity of the Protestant variety and the enlightened ideas of specific intellectuals in regard to private property and individual freedom. Christianity observed a live and let live mentality more so than the Jews of the Old Testament. Judaism was specific to the Jews, whereas Christianity was meant as a way to extend the love and acceptance of God to gentiles. Christianity and the philosophy of people like John Locke is much easier to incorporate into a society which values freedom and the individual than the more strict doctrine you find in the Torah. The more rules a faith has, the harder it will be to apply it in a society that is, 1) not totally homogeneous (like America) 2) whose rights are written in a very ambiguous way (i.e., freedom of speech, does not specify exactly what free speech is). The laws in Leviticus are very precise and were created only for the Jews to adhere to. In Christianity, the laws seem more univeral as they mainly only take the ten commandments from the Old Testament. Certain commandments (thou shalt not murder, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness)are very universal, even beyond Judeo-Christian faiths and so, can easily be applied in our society. Good video still.

The values of freedom and equality didn't come from Judaism or Christianity, it came through the era of enlightenment.

Test your skepticism skills and listen to what Andrew is really saying, very disingenuous apologetic propaganda.
