Probably a bad time to have the Alden Indy on your list. Rose Anvil just did a cut in half video on those in the last few days. Basically said they belong in the $200-300 range, not worth $600

That Wesco Mr. Lou is more expensive than my entire wardrobe, so I'd basically have to go naked while wearing them, but hey, my feet will be styling.

I’m mad you didn’t include the Thursday Loggers in a waxed cacao leather but you included the Vanguard. They are almost the same boot especially if you have the waxed cacao of each boot. I just bought the Loggers in Cacao and I’ve been wearing them every day since Christmas and I’m still working on getting them broken in. I ordered the same size as my captains but these were a bit snug. I understand that the top lift is a bit on the thin side but the outsole is like 1/2” thick so it won’t wear out quickly. You can always take the Loggers to a cobbler and have them put on a thicker vibram top lift and then they would be perfect! They are perfect for me because I love the Cuban heelstack and the 1/2” thick vibram fighter outsole. Plus the leather is super nice. Brand new they are super shiny and almost black but once you begin to break them in the nap shows through and get better looking imo after a few months of wear. I ended up getting the Nicks leather laces to use on my Loggers and then the fake kilties in brown waxed flesh also from nicks. Out of my 3 pairs of Thursday boots I believe that the Loggers are the best. I haven’t tried them in the snow yet or ice but I’m confident that it will hold up really well and have a ton of traction.

A more mild option of the White's Packer boot is the White's Farmer/Rancher.
Same design just different last and shorter heel. So a little less crazy arch support.

Thanks for making this video. What is the name of the arched wavy platform looking back heel on the packer boot? I’ve seen that type of platform wavy heel shape on old Frye boots from the 1970s and I’m eager to find more boots with that heel shape. Can you help me find the exact name?
