I heard from thelabmuffin, a pretty solid source that powder sunscreens do not provide proper protection as they’re not able to for a uniform layer on the skin to make a sunscreen “barrier”, even if it has sunscreen filters. Maybe it’s good as a mattifying powder, but a proper sunscreen should be used for reapplication.

It's a temporary fix but works well. I'm talking about the infamous Powdered sunscreen.
👉🏼Powder sunscreen can be used on face as well as hair.
👉🏼Some people tend to get sunburnt on their head as well and by the time they get home their scalp is burning and itching.
👉🏼 A good way is to apply a bit of powered sunscreen on your scalp by parting your hair. And of course you use powdered sunscreen on face.
👉🏼 As you know, no matter whatever skin color you are sunscreen is very important it protects you from a lot of harmful shit. So powdered suncreens main motive is to be applied on top of make-up.
👉🏼 As you know sunscreen needs to be applied every two hours. 👉🏼We apply Serum after cleansing our face, serums/Toners whatever, then we apply Face moisturizing Creme and after that we apply Sunscreen creme of our choice of SPF and brand. But sometimes we need to attend ceremony for example, or we going out clubbing whatever the reason is, we have applied makeup, and since we need to apply suncreen every two hours it's difficult for us to apply on top of makeup, this is where powdered sunscreen comes into play.
👉🏼 You can try Natural Sun eco or another good one is from The Derma, Jane Iredale, Colorscience. I have the Sun eco one and the Derma, works well for me.
👉🏼Also now there are suncreen for scalp hair as well in the Beauty market, so please do check em out.

there's a study on how powder sunscreens do not provide the needed protection when applied on face as the lab tests for spf protection is done with a thick sample of the powder which does do the trick..but its not practical

The Fenty lipstick has to be applied on both the lips without smacking each other and after drying it doesn't come off like that.
