I just got my first job as a junior front end developer. And it's all thanks to people like you who kept inspiring me to learn. I literally just built a website with no degree and they hired me. Now I'm getting paid 25 dollars an hour for my first programming job. thanks man.

Good on you. For JavaScript, learn key concepts such as: let vs const, prototypical inheritance, Promises, callbacks, closures, design patterns and writing clean code.

Sometimes, you have to go back to the basics. I think it's hard to keep the fundamentals sharp when a person starts working on projects and learning other things such as using git, wireframes, learning the command line, etc. I found that working through the JavaScript tutorial on SoloLearn, here and there, helps me remember proper syntax. Also, I'll view a few minutes of JavaScript Tutorial on YouTube by Derek Banas or Learn JavaScript in 12 Minutes by Jake Wright every other day or so. Have fun studying and keep us posted.

Hey Chris what do you think is the biggest lesson you've learned from code that can be applied to life? Like a life lesson?

Hey Chris great video! Like always truly inspiring! Before you learned code, did you always have a passion for it or a curiosity?

Was it meant to end so abruptly? Not sure if there was more to the video or not!

Hey Chris I am a teen trying to learn code at treehouse, but it's hard to keep that motivation knowing that no one will take you serious since you are young and inexperienced, especially when you apply for some kind of internship (I can't apply to jobs since I am too young). Any advice on how to overcome such obstacles?

Can you do a video on how you stay motivated and dedicated while learning programming? Thanks for the video.

Hey chris, Ive been doing web dev for about 6 months and know enough to build a substantial website with html/css, my javascript is small tho. Is it still okay to start applying for junior level jobs? Im willing to put in so much time outside of work learning if i got the job

Hey Chris, Great Video! If you're looking to learn more about JavaScript I'd recommend checking out the You Don't Know JS series by Kyle Simpson, It's the best series of technical books I've read on the subject so far.

Creating web applications with Node and React enhance your JavaScript skills. JQuery on the other hand does not.
